Denise wears many hats, wigs and masks.
She has to.
Dee has been misunderstood since April 4, 1981.
Her heart was wounded at birth because of a congenital defect from her mother's own broken heart while fetus Dee was in her belly.
At 8, she underwent her first surgery called PDA, to fix her defective heart.
At 12, her family unit fell apart. It was only revealed later that drugs and dysfunctional family systems were the reason. Because of this, Dee vowed to never touch alcohol and drugs.
At 17, she has to undergo an emergency appendectomy in NYC and was grateful to have the help of her dear aunt Shireen Sehwani Domenici and father Dennis A Gonzales III .
When she was 17 years old, heartbroken and desperate to become a model like her hot cousins, Dee found alcohol and cannabis which introduced her a rainbow of experiences named mdma, acid and soon methamphetamine.
In less than a year, she had her second near death experience (October 29, 1999)
She turned to her mother to ask for help and underwent her first 12-step treatment program in November of 1999.
The days that followed were tainted with the mess of relapse and recovery, staying clean over the turn of the millennium #y2k was extremely difficult (if you were partying during that era, youu know that we were like moths drawn to the deadly strobe lights and thumping speakers

)
The cycle of drama continued until she found herself in 2001 and committed herself to finish her college degree at Assumption College.
Being the Aries
power lady that she was, Dee became the President of the Assumption Student Council in her 4th year and graduated with Distinction, Deans Lister with numerous awards for social involvement and for having an extra big heart.
Soon she found a person she thought she loved and found herself back in the "normal" world of "drinking and drugging managably". The idea that she could drink and use like "normal" people was something Dee dreamt of.
She fit in that box from 2005 til her next rock bottom in February 4, 2017
(she had her first born Benicio in April 8, 2007, started INDIGObaby November 11, 2007 and FLOW Retreats April 2009, delved into her artistic side with the MY MASTERPIECE MOVEMENT family led by Anna Escay-Cortez and Kara Escay in 2009, found Steiner and Waldorf education for Benny in 2010 and took up Early Childhood Education with Bella and Jake Tan, stepped on motherland #incredibleindia soil on Feb 2012, got churchly married on April 13, 2012 and had her peaceful guide Guido Pascal aka Pax on May 24, 2013 via emergency CS + full total hysterectomy taking ALL her reproductive X hormone producing organs...as if God was taking body parts away from her little by little)
On May 16, 2017, Dee walked into the rooms of the 11th Street, New Manila meetings. It truly was a Miracle at 11th st. because this is where Dee made new friends in recovery and unboxed her entire life to find herself again.
She then pursued her passion for yoga and wellness and got certified to become a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher on December to March 2018 with Anna Carbonell Bea Gomez - Dey Glency Litiong Rianna Gatus Viel Olegario-Tiu Enna Na Cara De Ocampo of I Go Beyond Yoga .
Soon, her new soul fam MarisBarney Garcia and daughter Martina (aka WWW OG Yoginis!!) became her first yoga students, where she coined the name WEDGEWOOD WELLNESS WARRIORS (WWW).
On April 30, 2021, Dee and her fam uprooted their New Manila life and moved to Baler, Aurora where she tried her best to spread her rainbow
sunshine cheer to all of Baler. She found like-minded parents and they started #sacredcemento , a Steiner-inspired initiative of Sisidlan Institute families living in Baler.
On July 13, 2023, Dee rode a bus to Manila with her two sons Benny and Pax and told herself she was done with her 11-year marriage, done with the town of Baler, and ready to pursue her own personal dreams of becoming an art teacher, kinder teacher, yoga and wellness guru and a compassionate animal welfare advocate and recovery advocate that she always was.
Today, Dee is creating sacred spaces everywhere she goes. Her art installations are raw, real and painful. They reflect 42 years of trying to mold her into a proper filipina-indian-Catholic girl, 42 years of expecting her to fit into a box, 18 years of narcissistic abuse, 11 years of broken promises and a few days of bliss mistaken as psychotic mania.
If you enjoy her expressions of self, kindly reach out to her at hashtagdeetalks@gmail.com / +63928-5040226.
If her works and writings trigger you and make you angry or think you can text or send unsolicited advice, kindly unfollow her numerous accounts.
Dee is Dee and these are #deesabilities.
She will always #deetalks #deesings #deecreates #deedances #deedoes #deestill until she leaves her earthly vessel. May her art live on forever and may one of her many messages plant seeds of consciousness and spark delicate conversations in your circles.
Like she always says, fly free, rise in peace and be still and know that God is with you always,
like Dee, in a whisper, in the eyes of a lost child, scared puppy, wet kitten and wounded sparrow.
Much love
and light
,
