I rescued a Bali dog named Lady last September 1, 2023. I took her straight to the vet for deworming, vaccination and cleaning. She was my emotional support and travel buddy and I love her dearly.

Sadly, I had to leave her with a trusted vet a week ago but am determined to process her Pet Travel documents so she can come live with me here in the Philippines.

It will cost about 950usd and I need help.

I am going to offer healing sessions, card pulling, art and yoga classes as well as an online garage sale to help pool funds for Lady's return.

If you feel called to help me, please send paypal to gonzales.denise@gmail.com or gcash to +63928-5040226.

Below is the beginning of the story I am writing about our little love story. If you've ever loved a pet the way I love Lady, know that you are not alone.

Thanks in advance, any help will be greatly appreciated! :*

"When Lady Met Gaga"
a love story of an animal angel sent to save a human named Denise

It started with a tug.

The kind that surprises you and gets your body to jerk in a direction you didn't think you were going. That's how it happened. Dee was walking home to her hotel in a crowded touristy town called Kuta in Bali, Indonesia. The street looked similar and unfamiliar at the same time but she allowed her feet to lead the way.

It was hot. And she was tired. A small hut selling fresh coconut juice became her refuge for a few minutes. She knew she was safe because the hut was filled with dogs sleeping by the coconuts and feet of the vendors.

Dee loved dogs.

But she was thirsty and didn't have any money in her bag. No coins even for a 25,000 rupiah coconut. But she had a small cookie.

"Aunty (this is how they call older women in Bali), can I feed your dogs?", she asked in her fake Bali accent.

"Yes. We have many more in the back. Small ones too.", the vendor replied.

Dee stood up and made her way to the small street in between the cement walls.

The dogs started to bark to signal a new scent in their territory. Dee got scared and whispered, "I am here to feed you. Do not hurt me, please. I am a friend. Who is meant to eat this cookie will come to me."

She stopped, bent down and held her hand down to show them the small cookie that she got free from the coffee shop that morning.

Then she felt it again.. that tug in her heart and gut. Something only mothers know. Like that strange feeling you get when you are far from your children but know something is up. Some call it intuition, mother's instinct. A heart cord strung and you'll never be the same again.

This was when one of the dogs walked straight to her and started licking the cookie in her hands.

The doggie's eyes met Dee's and that is how Lady met Dee.
