Happy to report that we had a lovely Sunday afternoon St. John festival and Summer Solstice celebration with storytelling, singing, wish making, jumping over embers and heartwarming homecooked food.. all collective efforts of #sacredcemento families.

"One highlight of the event for both Primary and High School is when the flames die down, students, teachers and parents jump over the ashes of the fire to signify leaving behind past troubles, overcoming our weaknesses and celebrating the strength of the human spirit. Hot, nourishing bowls of soup and fresh bread is served. It is a memory-filled festival for everyone involved.

Dear World,
Two years ago, around June or July 2021, as I played with the carpenter's children on my sandy lawn in the new Baler home we moved into,
this came to me as a vision from my cousin Paula Marie Joy
-- a sacred Waldorf-inspired community in Baler.
I first called it the Bahay Kubo Waldorf School of Joy in honor of Paula who was pure joy.
I've since shelfed the big dream as it felt too big and overwhelming for one person.
As I watch this video today, my hair is happily standing, seeing the fruits of our intentions, dreamweaving, healing and planting seeds of goodness + love in the hearts of the families in our new hometown.
The spirit of the first Steiner initiative in Baler has landed.
The school lives within all of us.
Soon, the physical structure will be built, but for now, we celebrate festivals and milestones together, homeschool our kiddies individually and together, and continue own paths and own inner work, preparing us for what's to come!
Through my soul sister, long lost cousin Christine Laurel of Beacons of Light (currently based on the other side of town in Taal, Batangas), she received this download last May 2023 and shared it with us:
