Hi all-

Yes he is still in the ICU. My OB informed me that I can be discharged later today but Guido Pascal (according to his pedia here) has to stay another 7-10days extimated until he's done with his antibiotics and he shows signs of improvement. They repeated xray yesterday AM and it still showed traces of meconium (poop) in his lungs. Pedia changed his antibiotics but also increased the amount of expressed milk he can take to 5ml every 3hours, which I think is good for him. He is also still on 0.5oxygen for assisted breathing since anything lower makes his breathing heavy.

Bogey n I are allowed to go see him anytime, but only I am allowed to hold him:( bogey of course is dying to carry him also but its not allowed daw:(

Of course, as his mom, I just want to take him home and cuddle him and nurse him and smother him w love and kisses to heal him, but I guess for now I need to trust the doctors know what they are doing and that they will release my love as soon as he is strong enough.

For now, I just express my milk as much as I can and send it to the ICU. Thanking God the milk is there and is flowing despite not having actual stimulation from my baby. Gets painful when full so I need to express regularly. I'd much rather be nursing directly to relieve me of pain but doc says not yet.

When I go and cuddle him, I stay about 30mins to an hour each time, just holding him, talking to him, singing to him, praying with him. He's sooo cute and small, smells like bananas and keeps sucking and looking for my breasts..so I know he's a healthy little baby who won't have difficulty latching on when they allow him. My heart bleeds when i let them put him back in the incubator and sya bye.

Please continue praying for his swift recovery so we can all go home and grow in love together. I am soo excited to show him off to the world. Benny is still in alabang, happy with his cousins and grandparents, but eager to see his little brother also. Bo n I miss him a lot, and I'm sure he misses us too but we've been calling him daily and I'm sure hell come visit soon. Right now, this sucks but baby needs to be here a little longer.

Send us prayers, love and light. I know all will be well with time. We just need a little patience for now.

Miracle of miracles!

Went to see baby and as of today, pedia removed his oxygen support (YEY!!) and she's increasing his bmilk intake to 10ml today-- if he's ok with that, then I can nurse him directly tomorrow!!! IF!! Let's all pray it happens!! Thank u for continued prayers!

A stolen shot of the little warrior who now has NO MORE artificial oxygen! NO MORE feeding tube! NO MORE incubator light!

Strong little one sleeping soundly waiting to be cuddled by all of us!!

Here's little Guido Pascal drunk on my magic milk today after his first direct feeding!!

He's a natural sucker and we didn't hv any difficulty! He was sooo gentle and happy!! And so was I!! I decided to go home to alabang to rest and visit benny (who we haven't seen since the delivery!) And just go back tomorrow to nurse all day:) he's on a 3-hour feeding schedule and I've expressed enough milk to last him overnight (thanks mimsy and jeri for lending the pumps!!)

He's soooo adorable and kept smiling after we nursed! Like angels were there tickling him:)

Who do you think he looks like?

Prayers and powerful and God is mighty good! Thank you for all your prayers, love and good energy!!

Doc said he can be moved to a regular crib tomorrow and bogey can FINALLY cuddle him too!!! I'm sure he's dying to do that!!! Then hell have to stay til his 7day antibiotic cycle is done, so we are hoping to take him home on June 2!!!!! It will be done!!!

He's soooooo precious! I miss him na! Can't wait to go to him tom!!!

Was also sooooo beautiful to see benny again!! He ran up the entire stairs n jumped on bo and ran to me! With soo many stories to tell and his bungi tooth and sweaty head:p soooo nice talaga also! I guess I can really love 2 kids!!!!Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless handheld

Hi all:)

So far so good, been spending days in the hospital breastfeeding room so I can nurse the little one- his feeding schedule is every 3hours and he's a natural born sucker!! Then he gets all drunken and dizzy and smiles his adorable smile after:p

Meeting other moms in the breastfeeding room with similar stories, some soooo much worse than ours..but its good to have support group, see ourselves look more human each day with renewed love for life:p helping them by talking about breastfeeding, babywearing and natural living:) pretty cool:)

Been sleeping in San lo and Alabang to rest at night.

En route to the hospital now for his 10am milky time. Speaking to his pedia later and praying shell allow us to take him home tomorrow night since his last dose of antibiotics is at 6pm sunday!! Pray with me!! I don't see why he should stay another night in the hospital after his meds. He's off all tubes and contraptions already and is in a normal bassinet:) bogey finally got to cuddle him yesterday!! Priceless moments!! He's been soooo patient! Waah!! We celebrated one week yesterday and Guido Pascal (his nickname can be PAX which means peace!!) Is a darling!!

Thank you all for your prayers..let's continue praying together- for us and all the other yummymummies and babies in the ICU.

Pax' Baptism + Ben's Kuya Party

Hello familia and friends! :* 

More than forty days have passed since the birth of our little darling, Guido Pascal-- a.k.a. PAX, last May 24! 

We will be christening him next week and we look forward to seeing you as we celebrate this special occasion, welcoming Pax into the Catholic community, and Benny into the "Kuya world" :)
